Going, Going, any one noticed?

I noticed something odd, but didn't pay much attention to it.

Stores close here in the SF Bay area here almost on a daily basis. I see it in my travels as I log usually 400 to 700 miles a week traveling around.

Have any of you noticed the number of "vintage", second hand, and consignment stores that have disappeared? I'm not talking about Thrift Town, Goodwill, or the Salvation Army. I'm talking about places that had good quality, gently worn, nearly new apparel.

In keeping with the retail theme:

Ross, Loehmanns, Marshalls and similar stores seem to be doing okay. The Ross stores I've been in lately have seem to have had lighter traffic than I remember, as well as Marshalls.

There's a new mall out in the community of Brentwood (between Discovery Bay and Antioch along Highway 4). It's been open since last year. Many of the spaces still say "coming soon". I wonder how these places are defining "soon".

A co-worker was telling me about a store he set up. It was a high end salon/boutique. He said it was a really sharp looking store. All mirrors and chrome. He went by the place two weeks later and the glass was papered over with "space available" signs. Neighboring businesses told him it never even opened even though it was fully stocked and had employees.

The really cool fallout from this "contraction" is that there aren't as many annoying used car commercials on the air.

A few days ago, this episode of "Pitchmen" aired.

Watch it. Four minutes and sixteen seconds into the clip is the segment you want to watch.

Today, Billy Mays is dead at 50. Read the story here. Billy Mays Dies At 50.

I wonder how the guy who built the fuel cell shown in the episode is faring today?

Is there a link?

I don't know, but it sure seems strange since this is the type of "conspiracy theory" that frequently makes the rounds when anyone ever discusses alternative energy.

Your Own Personal Pucker Factor

Pucker Factor - Tension caused by high stress during a difficult or dangerous situation. So named because your sphincter tends to tighten up or "pucker" involuntarily during such times.

Some of you folks are fortunate to live out in the middle of "Nowheresville". Many of you think that makes you "safe".

It's an interesting word, because it is all relative.

Yes, most of us are doing the best we can being good little ants as opposed to being grasshoppers like most of society.

That helps make you safer, but does it make you "safe"?

Have you ever really looked around you and noticed what is near you? What installations, facilities, potential targets, or places that handle extremely dangerous materials are just up around the bend? Are you along the flight path of commercial airlines?

It is an odd thing to really consider since many of them are rather innocuous in appearance, and often have deceptive names. Sometimes, like in high flying aircraft, you just don't notice them.

It probably won't be a good idea to be along the flight path of an airliner or cargo jet when a nuke goes "bang" a few miles overhead. Thousands of pounds of stuff will just suddenly drop out of the sky on your head as the engines and flight electronics die.

Near where I live I have two military depots. Not bases. Depots. There's a lot of stuff that transits through there by rail and truck. It is kind of odd seeing plain white semis with a detail of Crown Victorias or blacked out Tahoes and Suburbans escorting them.

You just have to wonder what is inside.

There are places that handle large quantities ( I'm talking the big tank farms) of compressed natural gas.

There's a munitions plant in a neighboring town. Many people don't know it, but they don't exactly advertise in the local paper.

Chemical storage yards, processing plants and refineries.

How about a rendering plant? Tallow?

Canneries? Food processing facilities?

I think we all get the picture about the hazards of military depots and bases. Ditto for the chemical storage yards, refineries, and munitions plants. But canneries and food processing? Rendering?

I want you to picture a time when the power goes out. Not just for a day, but weeks, or even months. Maybe it was an EMP strike, or civil unrest got to the point that society has collapsed to some extent. What do you think will happen to all those lovely organics without refrigeration? Where will all that effluvium go? What will it attract? What will grow in such a noxious environment?

Will it contaminate your water sources?

How many of you have nuclear plants near you? Are you downwind? Sounds kind of silly that a nuclear power plant that generates electricity will fail if the power goes out. If the grid collapses, I understand that nuclear plants will be forced to shut down as they draw power from the grid in order to run normal operations inside the facility. Who will maintain them in a true SHTF TEOTWAWKI situation?

Now the really fun thing to consider is, "How many of you have a bio research facility near you?"

Did you know that some of them are operating illegally?

Livermore Labs is just over forty miles from me. They've been caught conducting prohibited research on their grounds. Yeah, the fun guys in the lab coats have been conducting experiments in recombinant DNA. They've been trying to give really nasty little bugs like Anthrax and Plague resistance to antibiotics.

You can read the results of a FOIA request from Tri-Valley Cares here: Livermore Lab Caught Conducting Illegal Restricted Bio Experiments.

The really big places are obvious. They're the ones that are in the papers and on the TV news because of the animal rights folks. They're the ones you see people protesting in front of as you drive by.

I installed some really cool things at a pharmaceutical research facility one time. The stuff going on there, the sounds and the smell. I can still remember it, and it makes me nauseous. I can't fault the animal rights activists for their outrage after what I saw.

I can not condone the activists' turning loose of the animals. God knows what they were infected with.

Did you know that there are thousands of bio research facilities scattered all across this county? Many are operating in small local industrial parks. Many under government contract. Doing who knows what?

What happens to the stuff in those places when civilization gives up the ghost? What happens when some forager, or scavenger pries open the wrong container?

Or worse, what happens if a well meaning person decides to turn loose all the experimental animals because no one will be there to care for them? Will they be showing up at your house, farm, or retreat next?

Must Read: FEMA Official Confirms Aspects Of 9/11 Conspiracy

9/11 FEMA Videographer goes public.

An interview with Kurt Sonnenfeld, currently living in Argentina, where he has gone to escape persecution. He has requested political asylum and has been granted provisional status by the Argentine government.

You have to read this. If you think that somehow the US government was complicit in the 9/11 tragedy through active participation, or by remaining silent, this will serve to strengthen your belief.

If you don't believe that elements of the US government were complicit in what happened, this may give you some pause. Take a look around you. You're being lied to everyday. Bailouts. Rescues. Set asides. Quotas. TSA. FEMA. It's all lies.

The only one that will save you and your family, is you.

The people in power are all too ready to sacrifice you to further their ends.

Things Are Coming Unglued

I don't know if I was completely zoned out this weekend or what, but I seemed to have missed quite a bit of what's going on in the world.

But then again, it may have just been the American media doing their best to not report the news.

She may have been Muslim, but I asked God to take her into His realm, and comfort her. I really don't think God cares if we're Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or any other faith. The hatred and the divisions are created by man to serve the ends of men. They are not made by the Creator. So I don't even know if I should have said she was a Muslim.

She was young. She was beautiful. She was someone's daughter. Someone's future.

She was a human being.

There was no need for what happened to her. People demanding accountability from their elected leaders should never have their voices of protest countered by gunfire.

Iran has been in the throws of protest over a farcical election. Thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets in what have not always been peaceful demonstrations.

One protest over the weekend saw a young woman named Neda shot through the heart by government forces. Her death was captured for eternity by someone with a video camera. The video has found its way onto Facebook and YouTube.

God bless you, Neda. I hope you find peace, and that your death will mean something more to your country and your people than just continued bloodshed.

I'm not going to embed the video in this post. It is far too graphic for kids, and perhaps even some adults. I will post a link, for those who may wish to see for themselves. You can see it here: Neda's Video. You will be required to register and confirm your age before viewing it. If you're already registered on Blogger, your username and password work on YouTube.

I think I will see this young woman's face for a very long time.

I hope the Iranian people are able to rout the evil that is their government, just as I hope we are able to rout the evil that has become ours.

More banks failed over the weekend. An additional three banks brings the number of bank failures to forty in 2009.

CommodityOnline is warning of global mass starvation as the United States faces the serious threat of crop failures. The weather has not been cooperating with farmers (watch this shoving match in Fresno), and the high cost of production, plus the nose diving economy also has hit the agricultural sector hard.

This article has a good breakdown by the numbers, but he's trying to tell you how to profit from food.

Food shortages continue in Africa. Another story here: Uganda

Scientific American had an interesting article back in May about how food shortages may bring down civilization. It was written by a nay-sayer who has re-examined the evidence and doesn't like what he sees.

Our food supply is seriously messed up. Just read this. I don't know if I want to see the documentary. I went out to dinner with the family last night, and promptly got sick. I'm not even going to bother with eating at restaurants anymore. Half the time (not an exaggeration) I walk away feeling ill for the next day or two.

Someone tried to knock off the president of one of the Russian republics. Russia is having difficulty dealing with the collapse of the world economy, and additional violence has erupted in the restive southern republics. Russia has decided to withdraw all troops from Chechnya, part of the troubled area. This may signal a victory of a sort for the rebels in the area. In a related story, a human rights lawyer and a journalist were gunned down in Moscow. The lawyer had been working against the early release of a Russian Colonel who was convicted of the murder of a Chechnyan girl.

More areas are looking to break away from Russia, and this brings with it the potential for additional military conflict.

So, things are going to start looking ugly for the common man and woman in that part of the world. People like us, who just want to live out our, absent of government interference, lives in peace.

Al Qaeda is threatening the US with the use of seized Pakistani nuclear weapons.

More talk about building the Third Temple. If you are a Biblical "End Of Days" fan, this is for you. It means that the end may just get fast tracked if the right palms are greased with the appropriate amount of silver.

"Swine Flu" is on the rise as the southern hemisphere enters their winter and flu season. I ran across an article early this morning, but can't find it now, that talked about how rapidly the cases were coming in China, and Australia. If the spread does indeed seem to be accelerating, it could mean that the flu is mutating into a more easily transmitted form.

Happy Father's Day

I'm grateful to my father.

There are not words for me to convey my admiration for him, so I won't even try. I put up a series of father related songs on the jukebox. There's no way that will ever be enough.

There are so many things that he did in his life that I never learned about until after his passing. My dad was never one to tell tales, or to make himself into more than he was. I think in his heart he was a farmboy from Pennsylvania until the day he died.

I think the differences in our ages were a constant source of friction as I grew. My dad was born in 1921, and he became a father for the first time, with me, at the age of 42.

The years have shown me much. I watched six of my peers (kids I grew up with) die before they were twenty five. All of them died over stupid things. One killed himself because he was cut from a pro-ball team. I've watched girls I've known wind up in psych wards because they couldn't handle life.

I couldn't tell you how many of my former schoolmates are, or have been, in prison.

One of them killed a number of people in a drug deal gone bad. His dad was a cop. He's sitting on San Quentin's death row.

My dad wouldn't allow me to do many of the things my peers were doing. One time after a particularly noisome confrontation, he came into my room. He just looked at me and said that he understood that it seemed unfair that I wasn't being allowed to do as everyone else did. I think I was about 15 at the time.

"You won't understand until you're about thirty."

He had years of experience that the parents of my peers lacked.

You know he was right? The younger parents were just starting to wake up to what it meant to be an adult, and that you can't be your kid's friends. You have to be a parent. The pop psychology of the 70's really messed people up.

My dad's been gone from this Earth for twenty four years now. I wish I could tell him how right he was. And how right he is every time I hear his voice in my head.

Thanks, Dad.

Happy Father's Day.

Irritated By The Ignorant

The media has dubbed a couple of clowns wielding a handgun and riding BMX bikes the "UZI Bandits".

Watch the video below, and then make sure you pay attention to the still shot of the weapon in the hand of the "UZI Bandit".

Gee, does the silhouette look like this:

No. It doesn't. It actually looks more like this:

The weapon in the top photo is an Uzi. The one directly above is a MAC 10. The MAC 11 looks almost the same. From the still photo, one can see that the weapon is a MAC 10 or 11.

I may be nit-picking here, but this is the type of poor reporting and sensationalism that the media constantly engages in. It seems the police are all too willing to allow the misidentification of the particular weapon to continue.

The stupid bimbo is interested in what the BMX bike looks like. Duh. Its a BMX bike, one like millions of others ridden by kids all across the country. Maybe she would be happy if every kid found on one was thrown to the ground and tazed until they're cleared of being the culprits.

These damn fools on TV don't know if the weapon is an actual functional firearm, a replica, or an airsoft gun. This is actually bad for the "UZI Bandits" because someone isn't going to know the difference and waste 'em. Which could be good for the family of these two idiots suing the city for "wrongful death" because their prized little angels got knocked off by a cop or hundred.

Check this out from

Lt. John Walker of Southwest Detectives said the firearm on automatic mode can quickly let off a lot of rounds.

"The way that gun sprays, people are going to be hit," he said.

Wait a second here. Do they know that this is not a legal semi-auto pistol? Do they know it is an automatic weapon? Do they know that a legal semi-auto has been modified to fire on full auto?

How do they know this?

Does this mean the cops are in on this and maybe this is a plant designed to gin-up anti gun support?

I don't know.

Sometimes I just wish all the stupid people in the world would forget how to breathe.

We Have An Extra 9,200 Pathogens

I've heard from friends in the military that when they went on maneuvers, if they had ordnance that wasn't used in the exercises, they'd bury it in the desert. It was alleged that it was more troublesome to track and log the unused material back into the system.

I can't testify as to how accurate or exaggerated those statements are, but I have no reason to doubt the sources.

Fort Detrick, Maryland was tasked with inventorying their stocks of infectious disease agents after some irregularities were noted in February. Four extra vials of Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis were found when there should have been sixteen.

The FBI has long held that Ft. Detrick was the source of the anthrax that was used on the mail attacks on the capital in the wake of 9/11.

After a months long probe and inventory of the site, officials stated they found over 9,000 vials of things like Ebola that were not counted. In other words, they have no way to know what has left the site either through accident or more sinister means.

Col. Mark Kortepeter, Deputy Commander, likened the survey to "cleaning out the attic".

Sorry, Col. The stuff in my attic isn't likely to enable a nut job to wipe out a city. If the stuff in your attic would interest a terrorist, maybe someone should visit your home.

Washington Post: Inventory Uncovers 9200 More Pathogens

Frederick News Post: Army Defense Lab Completes Germ Inventory

Global Security Newswire: Thousands of Uncounted Disease Samples Found at Army Biodefense Lab

So, what does this mean to you?

Allegedly this is a "Level Four Biosafety" facility. If a guy could get out of there with Anthrax samples, as the FBI continues to allege, what else has left? Especially if no one there even knows what was there in the first place?

Keep in mind what happened back in February.

Winnipeg Researcher Charged With Smuggling Ebola Material Into US.

Remember, the cops don't catch everyone. If they did, there would be no crime. There are many unguarded border crossings between here and Canada, and the Mexican border... Yes, you hear me laughing.

The View From My Front Porch

I live in California.

The town I live in has a sign when you drive into the city limits that says, "Land Of Peaches And Cream".

I can agree with that. We're surrounded by dairy, almond and stone fruit farms. The police station closes at 5pm, and the firemen hang out in front of the firehouse chatting with passers-by. American flags still fly daily on many homes, and on appropriate holidays even more make an appearance.

Kids frequently play unsupervised in local parks, and still ride their bikes in the long summer twilight. Around 10PM, most everything except a couple of local eateries and the bar have long shuttered their windows, their proprietors retiring for the evening.

People stroll about, many walking dogs. Most are friendly enough to wave or greet you. The ones that aren't, well you can tell that they're "The Blue Meanies". The bumper stickers and rainbow flags tell the story that their scowls and silence confirm.

We're one of those areas that are short on population compared to metropolitan areas like the San Francisco Bay Area, and we always show as one of those "Red" counties during elections. You know the ones Liberals love to demonize and ridicule.

The city manager has been interviewed in the local paper, and he has confirmed that the city's expected revenue has declined, and will continue to decline as the economy continues to suffer. He said there wasn't anything to be concerned about. The city is comfortable, and there are no plans on cutting services or jobs, although there is a moratorium on new hiring. Things are comfortable enough for the city to build the new city hall and police station. Two items this town needed desperately.

The fire department was able to get some new lifesaving equipment. Our community supported ambulance service (everyone pays a $25.00 per year membership) was able to also buy new equipment thanks to some generous donations from people in the community.

So, I sit here on my front porch looking at my wife's collection of Lilies, listening to the placid splashing of the fountain. I'm contemplating the Chinese Wisteria which has wrapped itself around the porch, ensconcing me in its shady shelter and wondering how long until the seed pods explode.

Yep, for an area often ridiculed for being full of "mean spirited Conservatives", things look pretty good. Even the transplanted "Blue Meanies" from the Bay Area are probably glad that things here are so conservative. Our home values, while taking a hit, haven't collapsed like in neighboring areas.

Not like the state as a whole where the financial tidal wave of debt will soon drown many who have lived the high life at the expense of us lowly, "mean spirited Conservatives" who slaved every day to pay "our fair share" which was frequently much more than "fair" or even "our share". The tax, spend, finance the debt with more spending days are over.

I hope they enjoyed the party.

They're going to have one hell of a hangover.

The after party fights that we so often associate with Super Bowls, NBA Championships, and Hockey Playoffs have started to materialize.

You may want to make some popcorn and sit back and relax in front of the TV. This is going to be better than any pay-per-view fight ever televised.

Its Not Nice To Fool With Mother Nature

Some of you who are old enough will remember this commercial from back in the 70's.

It amazes me how tame it is compared to some of the ads one sees on TV now.

We're entering into summer and here, where I live, we've only had a couple of 100 degree days (37 C). In fact, it has been barely into the 80's (26 C) with a few 90 degree (32 C) days. Usually by this time of year, all you hear is the hum of air conditioners, and the warnings to conserve power or there will be rolling brown and blackouts.

We've even had some pretty good amounts of rain.

There have been news articles about how crops are not doing well due to the unusual weather across the world. (Yes, that is a hint that maybe you should buy now before the prices go up this fall)

Yesterday, in New Jersey, so much hail fell that it looked like it snowed.

You can watch the video here if you missed it on the news.

But that paled when compared to this.

This is stupefying.

A storm turns Beijing, China into night.

This Associated Press photo was taken at 11:30 AM local Beijing time. It's not quite noon and the streetlights are on!

The hail storm that accompanied this weather killed fourteen people and injured another 180! The winds were clocked at over 65 miles per hour (104 Kph). Yahoo Australia has the story.

I have to wonder with the screaming over Global Warming and the admission by Germany of participating in active climate modification (chemtrails) just what will we reap with what has been sown? It isn't just the Germans who have been screwing with weather patterns.

I frequently come out of my home to be greeted by a crystal clear early morning sky, and by 0700 local time, the sky is criss-crossed with these milky filaments flowing out of high altitude planes. Planes that make u-turns in the sky.

China actively, and quite publicly, screwed with the weather for the Beijing Olympics.

Maybe Mother Nature has had enough with being screwed with.

Psst, mom. It wasn't me!

Supermarkets To Refuse Cash

I work in an industry where biometrics are becoming more and more of a factor.

About ten years ago I saw, at a trade show, a checkout system that used fingerprint scans to verify payments. If you went to a regular supermarket in your home town, you had the option of linking your fingerprint to a credit card, debit card, or checking account.

The checkout system did not require a human operator. It was similar to the self checkout systems people are seeing in Home Depot, Lowes, and Wal-Mart. A single cashier could manage up to ten lanes.

When one conducted an initial transaction and paid, the machine asked if you would like to link the account to your fingerprint. The selling point was convenience and security. The next time you came through and did your shopping, all you had to do was press your finger to the pad, and your account would be charged the appropriate amount. Also, if someone tried to pay with your account, they would be prompted to verify their print, after all, why would you be using a card if your print was already stored?

The really scary thing about this machine was that there wasn't a provision for making a cash payment.

Now, I'm a tech, not a sales guy or management. So this was a tech to tech conversation during the setup before the show opened to the general audience. I told the tech demo-ing the equipment, "F-that. I ain't going to use that thing." His response? "You won't have a choice."

That always bothered me.

Things that negatively impact our freedoms seem to either start here in California, or Europe.

800,000 Phone Digital TV Hotline: A Lesson For You

Digital TV has been in the works since 1995. It has been postponed numerous times, and had numerous changes designed to help people catch up with the technology.

Even FOURTEEN years later, 800,000 people were caught flat footed or had problems.

Fourteen years people have been told via print, radio, and television ads, "Hey, you won't be able to watch the idiot box unless you do such and such." The ads have been on billboards and buses, benches and bills. 800,000 people still didn't get it.

The big day, Friday June 12, finally arrives. 800,000 people go "Doh!" like Homer Simpson when they flip on the boob tube.

Why is this important?

The US Federal Government has spent years, and millions of dollars trying to get people to pay attention to a change that was coming. This wasn't an earthquake, flood, or hurricane. It wasn't an accident.

This was planned.

People still did not pay attention.

If 800,000 people ignored repeated warnings, advisories, television ads, and even the offer of FREE equipment, how many more are out there who aren't taking care of preparing themselves and their families for an unplanned event?

These people were inconvenienced by not being able to watch Dope-rah and Doctor Pill. What do you think it will be like when the lights don't come on, the water stops flowing, and the elevators stop working?

The Snowball Is Growing

This is just a quick post:

Two things for you to check out.

Median Home Price in Detroit: $6,000

Six Flags Files For Bankruptcy

What you need to consider is with home prices falling to these kinds of levels, of course the number of sales are going to increase. That's why the meat puppets on the television news keep chortling about how we've reached the bottom in the real estate market.

Except that they conveniently overlook things like this: US Foreclosure Filings Top 300,000. Bank Seizures Loom

Nope, not by a long shot. People are buying because they believe there is a bottom, and that we'll bounce right back just like every time since the 70s. They only reason our economy "recovered" in the past has been because the government has created "bubbles" to inflate the economy.

I can't see anything that they can inflate, except the currency.

Six Flags? They're admitting their debt is unmanageable. So before they even get to the point of collapse, they're attempting to mitigate the damage.

Maybe we should put these people in office.

At least they're honest about the situation they're facing.

Youth Serves The Leader

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
George Santayana (1863 - 1952), The Life of Reason, Volume 1, 1905

As this week has worn on, America has watched the nationalization of more of her industry, and more of her wealth evaporate. American institutions are now openly sold to foreign interests. It is not lamented, it is lauded!

So-called "conservative" politicians strike the appropriate postures in front of the television cameras. They voice their meaningless, banal, and patently false indignation into the eager microphones thrust into their faces.

Over on the "liberal" side, their verbal orgasms shouted across the land send many of us into short lived, nearly catatonic states, followed by a paroxysm of anger.

The commentators on Faux News, and the pseudo "alternative media" of the likes of Pawn Hannity and Michael Sewage, simply allow the masses of angry, disheartened, disenfranchised, unemployed Americans to have somewhere to go and feel like they matter to someone.

These same people, after their shows, then climb into their nice cars and drive on over to their nice homes. And promptly forget those whom they just spent several hours commiserating. They have no problem paying their mortgage, or the electricity bill, never mind putting food on the table.

Oh, they may throw one listener a free book, or a pass to some self promoting gathering once in a while, but in the end it's all about self promotion.

Their only care is that the masses keep coming, and keep buying the cheap wares they hawk. The platitudes, and the "wave the flag" gatherings, the cds and the books. They'll take the money from those who sink further into the mire, with each dollar spent, of a collapsing world to buoy themselves.

Quite frankly, I'm sick of it. It pisses me off to no end.

Do any of these people do or say anything that will help the average guy or gal trying to hold it together? How have they helped the average American family keep a roof over their heads, and food on the table? Do they offer any practical advice? Have they ever impacted domestic policy with their shopworn tirades? Has one word ever altered a single politician's ambition? Has it ever curbed their thirst for dominion?

The only thing the squeals of porcine punditry have managed to accomplish is to consistently get the wrong person into public office.

I've never heard a single one of these people ever give any advice to a single person to get them over the hump. The hump we face is a daunting one, indeed.

Bullets, beans, and band-aids people.

Do it. Do it now.

Why? Because they're getting ready to put their boot down on your neck. Reason enough?

Hitler Youth are being trained as we speak. This is from last month, but it should damn well clue you in on what is being taught to your children. If any of you are students of history, you should recall the 12th SS Panzer Division. The parallels between how these kids are being paired up seasoned adults, and how the 12th was assembled should scare the hell out of you.

“This is about being a true-blooded American guy and girl,” said A. J. Lowenthal, a sheriff’s deputy here in Imperial County, whose life clock, he says, is set around the Explorers events he helps run. “It fits right in with the honor and bravery of the Boy Scouts.”

That sounds like it came straight out of the KLV camps of Nazi Germany.

They're erasing all distinctions between different police agencies. Local police, and sheriffs, will not protect you against the depredations of military, state or federal law enforcement agencies. They're becoming all one, big, happy iniquitous family.

Check this out. More and more of these types of exercises are being conducted all over the country. They're even bringing in foreign troops to participate.

Bryant (Emmet Walsh) "Bladerunner": "You know the score, pal. If you're not cop, you're little people"

Anyone want to argue the truth behind that statement? If you do, just watch this:

There's talk about making you take injections over any objection. Check out this site, and read what is in the works for you, your children, everyone.

Just in time to make the quarterly profits. First batch of swine flu vaccine produced. Doesn't that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy?

This is another BBC documentary, and the posting of it was brought about by the discussion of a couple of books in The Prepper Network chatroom. The books discussed briefly were "The Human Zoo", and "The Naked Ape".

I openly wondered if some of what is postulated in these two works can explain what has happened here in this country politically. Unfortunately, I think it is quite possible that the authors have found the root cause of the collapse of our political infrastructure.

If you're interested in the chat, visit Survival Times and you will see a link to it on the right. The chat is brought to you by Wolfe over at Wolfe's Blog. Thank you, Wolfe!

As an aside, I learned in the chat that some people have difficulty reading my blog due to the colors and fonts used. I've put a poll up on the right. Please let me know if you'd like a more visually friendly format. To be quite frank, I had intended to just have this as a vanity blog and never actually expected people to be reading it on a regular basis. If I can make things easier for you by changing it up a bit, I have no problem doing it, so please let me know your thoughts.

FEMA Brings In Foreign Troops In July

Straight from the horse's mouth, folks.

FEMA National Level Exercise 2009

"This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09"

These exercises will be carried out in "FEMA Region VI, which includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas."

Check out the FEMA page for the entire document by clicking either of the two links above.

The one thing I can't figure out is why Mexico? They can't even police themselves and now they want to police us?

Second Monday Post

Gerald Celente Interview

I have referenced Mr. Celente before. If you don't know who he is, or have not been paying attention to him, please take the time to read this interview.

Many of us know the party is over.

And it isn't just over for us.

It is over for the entire world.

We're seeing a confluence of events, man made and natural, that will bury civilization as we know it.

Don't forget the very real threat of an EMP weapon being detonated, not only here, but above all major Western Powers.

Why do you think North Korea is pushing Obama so hard?

They see him as being just like Neville Chamberlain. He's bowing down to the Dirty Nightshirt Brigade, and they want to see if he will capitulate to them as well. If he does......

They will be selling their nukes and their delivery systems to every rogue state around the globe.

Ship one into Mexico, and detonate it above the USA, and the EMP blast will take everything down. Estimates are that HALF the population will be dead in one year. My guess is that they'll do it at the end of August, just before the harvest. Food will rot in the fields, and people will starve in the cities.

Get one over to Algeria, and there goes Western Europe. Get one into Kosovo, and there goes Russia. Get one over to Pakistan, and there goes China. Oh wait, Pakistan already has nukes and is fighting against Islamists for its existence as a free state. Get a couple down to one of the Muslim controlled islands in the Southern Philippines, and there goes the Aussies and New Zealanders.

On top of this will be the domino effect, so even places that escaped unscathed from the EMPs, will die as food shipments, oil shipments, pharmaceuticals shipments, everything ceases. A slow lingering death for the isolated islands of civilization.

D-Day June 6th 1944

My father never liked to tell war stories.

He was a combat veteran of World War II, Korea, and then (allegedly) pushed paper in Viet Nam.

As kids, we would incessantly pester him for tales of his exploits, and my mother would always have to rescue him, and shoo us children away.

I knew he had nightmares and that is why, although he and my mother shared the same room, the very large king size bed gave way to two twin beds about the time I was eight. Both he and my mom tried to hide this from my brother and I, but..... kids know.

He was a combat engineer, "bridge builder" he'd always say proudly. Then laugh when he said he blew up more bridges than he actually built.

Today, 65 years ago, he was a scared 23 year old kid from Pennsylvania visiting France for the first time. He and 73,000 other Americans landed at various beaches along the famed Normandy coast.

Many of them never left.

As you run about your daily errands today, or enjoy that Bar-B-Que, and that cold beer, take a few moments and remember the heroes who fell this day in a place so far away.

Plans For You To Download (post updated)

Vintage Farm Plans

If you have a do-it-yourself mindset, or just want to squirrel away some knowledge for the day you may need it, head on over to this site.

All the plans listed here are FREE to download!

If you've always wanted to build a repeating crossbow, canoe, foundry or even a tractor....from scratch, this is a must visit site. I personally found the idea of converting an old push reel mower into a mulcher quite intriguing.

Many of the plans featured here date from the 50's and 60's, so use your head and update them as needed, but they should all work just fine as shown.

Do yourself a favor, and print these things out, and put them in a three ring binder. We do not have any idea how long our tech heavy world will continue on, and you may find that your CDs and DVDs will become little more than shiny plastic disks if an EMP attack wipes things out.

I know I owe y'all part two on "Eggbeater Assault", and I'll get to it as soon as possible.

The "File Of The Day Section" to the right has been updated at long last. More plans for you to download!

Watch Your Six, People.

Earlier today, the Washington Times posted an article outlining how Al-Qaeda seeks to partner with extremists in this country in order to carry out a biological attack. See "EXCLUSIVE: Al Qaeda Eyes Bio Attack From Mexico, seeks white militias as allies".

I have a real problem with this "news" article. Primarily because it isn't "news". The video has been floating around since February, and it certainly isn't an "exclusive" as the story has been carried by everyone from LiveLeak to Alex Jones.

Watch the video below:

We've all seen the crap that Napolitano and Homeland Security has spewed across the landscape about how everyone who isn't kissing the ass of Obama, and doesn't like the way this nation is headed, are "terrorists" and "extremists". They even went as far as including returning service people in their list of undesirables.

Napolitano and her group of dirt bags have done everything they can to get the sheep in society to view everyone not carrying her colostomy bag (Lord knows she's so full of it, she needs the extra cargo room) as being part of some grand terrorist conspiracy.

Click on the image below if you haven't had a chance to read the BS the taxpayers are being soaked for.

Now the boot lickers over at the Washington Times have trotted out this months old story as an exclusive, and I have to ask, "WTF is going on?"

The Air France plane that went down off of Brazil on Sunday was originally reported as the victim of a lightning strike.

The plane might have been struck by lightning. It's a possibility," said Francois Brousse, head of communications at Air France.

Earlier, Air France said the plane had reported an electrical fault via an automatic message that was sent after it flew through a stormy area with very strong turbulence. - Reuters News Service 06/01/09

Today, it is being reported that it was a bomb.

In all, it is just speculation as the black boxes have yet to be recovered, and most of the plane remains below the water. Why make the jump to "bomb"? There are reports about a "bomb threat to a previous flight", but is that proof that this flight was bombed?

Maybe the Air France plane was the contingency disaster for a missile that missed a Continental Express flight over Houston.

A Continental Express pilot reported a near miss on Friday as a "rocket or missile" flew within 150 feet of his plane. The report was just after 8PM, and at an altitude of 11,000 feet. Sorry, folks, but this isn't a model rocket which is what some are now starting to claim.

Back in 2005, a rocket was fired at a plane on approach over LAX. A Continental Airlines pilot reported a rocket in May of 2008.

Something says that someone somewhere wants to crank up the "terror meter" another notch. I have to wonder, "why"?

Could it be that something is going to happen later this summer, and the Obama Klan wants to be able to jump around and point at everyone outside their camp as being responsible?

If you read any of the financial blogs out there, most of the ones that called the current collapse we are experiencing are saying that this bounce in the market, home sales, auto sales, and consumer confidence will be short lived. In fact, some have called it a "sugar high" as a result of the stimulus spending.

We all know what happens when a "sugar high" wears off.

These same folks are projecting that the bottom is seriously going to fall out of the economy at the end of the summer. Some say that this will mark the beginning of a world wide depression that will make the Great Depression "look like a summer picnic". Gerald Celente George Ure Mish Shedlock Katherine Austin Fitz

I wonder if this is an attempt to get people to stop paying attention to what is going on around them. When the economy starts to tank (maybe 1-2 months before the ride over the cliff), a convenient "terrorist event" will occur.

Since Obama and his henchmen have laid the groundwork for martial law, could this be an excuse to implement it? Do they plan to use the incident to get a head start on serious wide spread unrest as the economy sinks beneath the debt of a century of idiocy?

Do they want to blame the collapse of the economy on us, the ones who have been the messengers warning everyone who will listen to prepare? Remember the shocks to the economy after 9/11. Are we being prepped to be the fall guys?

Egg Beater Assaults: Part One

My dad used to refer to helicopters as "egg beaters", and hated flying in them.

He didn't like the idea of hanging around in the sky waiting for Charlie to throw something at him every time he came into an LZ.

This is the time when a helicopter, and its payload, are the most vulnerable to small arms fire from the ground.

What prompted this post was our friend Alex Jones posting another piece on the continued effort of acclimating US civilians to military activity inside the borders of this country.

A helicopter must touch down in an area relatively free of obstacles. No overhanging trees, wires, cables or buildings that are too close or too tall. Tall buildings make maneuvering difficult. Combating helicopters in an urban environment such a New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles would, in effect, be shooting fish in a barrel. More on this later.

Well, maybe more like trying to stab a Barracuda in a barrel with a steak knife. Dangerous, but doable.

Usually a helicopter assault will begin with a recon mission performed by a four man team. They will attempt to approach the designated LZ and scout for booby traps, unmarked hazards and obstacles, enemy emplacements, and the size and location of potential hostile forces. The area is then softened up by artillery or air strikes, coordinated by the recon team, immediately before the assault. Attack helicopters then fly in looking for enemy targets, hoping to engage and draw the fire of concealed defenders. This is done to minimize the exposure of the transport helicopters carrying the assault force. These are usually hanging around somewhere waiting for the LZ to be cleared.

How these tactics would fit into an a martial law situation, I'm not sure.

If military personnel are already facing an insurrection where armed exchanges have already occurred, the answer is obvious. However, if this is an attempt to seize a civilian area and place it under martial law, I doubt the recon team would be used. Unless, they are dispatched to the area ahead of time in order to disrupt any attempt to organize an effective resistance.

Artillery fire or air strikes are also unlikely.

I think attack helicopters will be used. More than likely, they will be used to try and keep people off of rooftops, and away from the LZ.

Potential attack helicopters include:

Apaches (AH64) make an imposing statement, but because of the terrain of many urban areas, they probably won't be deployed in most instances. The AH64 was developed primarily for the open plains of Europe to counter Soviet armor and mechanized infantry. This is why it has proven so effective in the open sands of Iraq.

Blackhawk on steroids (MH60L-DAP) This is one scary MoFo. Used extensively for night operations, its effectiveness has been proven repeatedly in Iraq.

Cobra Gunship (AH-1) and varients "Snake Drivers" caused the bowels of the enemy in Viet Nam to turn to water everytime one of these things slithered across the sky. Apparently, they are still in use by the Marine Corps.

Little Bird (AH-6J) I tend to think that this will be the most frequently seen attack helicopter if martial law comes to our shores. This thing is quick and maneuverable, ideal for more urban environs.

Support Helicopters:

Kiowa Warrior (OH-58D) If you see one of these, chances are that an Apache is skulking about waiting to drop the hammer. Frequently used as scouting aircraft for Apaches, this thing is no creme puff in a fight.

Troop Transports:

Sea Knight (CH-46, UH-46, ) This is the 'copter pictured in Alex's article.

Chinook (CH-47D/F, MH-47E) Heavy lift helicopter used by the US Army.

Super Stallion (CH-53E) Capable of carrying up to 55 men, and armed as well.

Huey (UH-1N) Also capable of providing close support. May be used in attack and support roles. I had the opportunity to ride in one of these things when I was in ROTC. Scared the crap out of me, and I used to race cars!

Blackhawk (UH-60) Made famous or infamous by the movie "Blackhawk Down". <--- Click the link to read the real story, not the Hollywood version.

These are the machines in use by US Forces. If foreign troops are used to quell unrest, we may see other types of aircraft in the skies. If any of the readers know of other helicopters in use by US Forces, please let us all know in the comment section.

Mexican State Police In Dublin, California

Four uniformed Mexican police accompanied this vehicle. I was unable to get a photo of the men accompanying this vehicle.

What Mexican State police were doing over 480 miles north of the border is beyond me.

Old Thinker News

I'm sure some of you already visit our friends over at Old-Thinker News.

In case you haven't had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with this site, you really need to head on over there today and check out this news article: Edible Vaccines And Flying Syringes.

Apparently the folks trying to alternately enslave, poison or starve us to death have come upon the idea of screwing around with the genetics of food and using it to deliver drugs to the masses. That's right, 'shrooms and good old weed won't be the only things that gets you high baby! It may just be potatoes that pack a punch of potent drugs in the near future.

On top of this idiocy The Gates Foundation just gave $100,000 to help modify mosquitoes to serve as "flying syringes".

Doesn't this just make the book of Revelation make you feel all warm and tingly?

If after you read this article, you aren't convinced that you really do need to start raising your own food crops using heirloom seeds, I do not know what will convince you.

If you haven't bought seed yet, head on over to Bullseye's, or American Survival Store to check out the various heirloom seed offerings. These guys are the real deal, and they won't rip you off.

Some of the regular readers will remember a couple of posts back where I talked about the user revolt going on over at YouTube. It seems that the people who made YouTube what it is (the users, and viewers) have about had it with forced corporate conformity.

Well someone has decided to give Google, and YouTube the finger. Chris Arnold (AlexJonesTV) has been instrumental in getting InfoWarsTV off the ground. Help spread the word, especially to the users on YouTube, and get folks to start migrating over. Some content that YouTube had previously banned is now appearing on the site.
