News and Permaculture

I have to work tonight, so a short post.

By now, I'm sure all of you have heard of the recall of some 260 ambassadors from embassies and consulates in 180 countries. Kind of odd.

On top of it all, Obama Launches Total Takeover of Media System

More here, FCC Action Paves Way for First-Ever Presidential Alert to Be Aired across U.S. on Nation's Emergency Alert System.

And then, FCC Announces First Meeting of the Emergency Response Interoperability Center Public Safety Advisory Committee Scheduled for March 15, 2011, at FCC Headquarters.

A good article on Obama and the FCC are doing, First National Emergency Alert System (EAS) Test Ordered. If you believe it.

So what's going on?

Take your pick. Dead birds. Dead Fish. Dead Cows. Dead Bees. Everything seems to be dying. Crops ruined by extreme weather. Food prices climbing. Unemployment climbing. DHS wants to seize bank accounts without a warrant.

Revolution in the air.

I'm seriously thinking about traveling with more than just edged weapons. I know many of you do, but here in Kalifornia, it is bad if you get caught. Now I'm seriously re-evaluating the risks involved.

Hope you're saving your bottles and rags.

Catman,

You need to the Huffington Post Link you have for the "Recall of 260 ambassadors from embassies and consulates in 180 countries."

Dont read the article but go to its comment section and read Marcus Dunn's post @5pm on 2/7/2011.

This is the most sane explanation as to why the mega-rich are hoarding US dollars that I have heard of so far.

Agree or Disagree?

Hey Anon,

Thanks for pointing me at the comments from Marcus Dunn.

Revaluation of the world's currencies has been thrown around quite a bit, especially since the speculation surrounding the "Amero" entered the consciousness of average Americans.

I would hesitate at arriving at Marcus' conclusion because of the huge debt the US Government owes China. I don't think they would be too keen on the idea of getting snookered out of 75% of their holdings. Unless the rumors are true of the US Government securing the loans with physical assets is true. Something that has repeatedly denied.

China is also trying to get control of Europe by offering to buy up their debt. Revaluation would really mess up their playbook and things might get ugly.

But then how one can support nations and economies with worthless currency with more worthless currency from other nations escapes me.

Always enjoy your posts. Love you sense of humor too.
Thank you very much for the books to download.
Could you please tell me how to open them to read?
I am only familiar with adobe, and do not know what kind of file the books are in, where to find it, or how to open it.

Thank you

Hey people.

I apologize. The rar compression system can be unpacked using winrar found at www.rarlab.com/download.htm

There are versions there for 32, and 64 bit Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and Mac OSX.

Once the program is installed, all you will have to do is click on the file, and it will extract to the location you specify.

Once it is extracted, it should be in a form you can use, such as Adobe's PDF. Sometimes the file can be double packed, so if you extract and are confronted with another rar file, just click on the extracted file.

Oh, and sometimes the person who packs the file will intentionally leave off the .rar extension or intentionally mislabel it. In otherwords, it will say something like "XYZfile", or "XYZfile.htm".

This is to avoid having the hosting sites being able to locate and delete possibly unlicensed files that are available for download.

Just rename the file "XYZfile.rar" or when it asks you what you want to use to access the file, just tell it winrar.

And thanks for the compliments!
