Now every single time someone gets sunburned, let's sue her under product liability laws. She has posted no user warnings or even issued a manual on the proper use of her product. Skin cancer anyone? Blindness, cataracts, faded paint on your home or car?

Anytime a farmer's crops fail due to vagaries of weather that can be traced back to solar influences, let's sue her.

If the sun isn't available for your party that you intend to have at midnight, let's sue her for issuing a defective product.

I am so looking forward to the day when people again start to die for their stupidity.

Browning Hi Power Armorer's Course


I'm having to work at night again. Things have gotten backed up and I haven't had time to post, or read the blogs.

A friend of mine sent me these links to download a video presentation on the Browning Hi Power, a 9 MM semi-auto pistol. The video is apparently from AGI, American Gunsmithing Institute.

It is a very nice video, and if you'd like to learn more about the functioning of this particular weapon (and semi-auto handguns in general), it is worth watching.

Veteran's Day 2010

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

This day, given what is transpiring around all of us common people, - not just here in The United States but all around the world - I think this address is particularly poignant. We've struggled against the forces of oppression since the dawn of time, and our struggles continue today.

Our nation, and Liberty herself, are in peril. We must each do our part, however we see it, to defend what is ours. Let not the sacrifices of those who have gone before us vanish into the past, rather let them be a guiding light for the labors ahead.

Already many of us have seen some indication of rising prices at the super market. It is imperative, if you are able, to stock up on staple items like corn meal, sugar, flour and similar items.

If you can't afford to spend a ton of money on all of the items at once, consider a group purchase with friends, family members, or like minded church members. If you pool your resources and arrange a bulk purchase through your local market, you may get a better deal.

Discuss this possibility with your compatriots and then approach the store manager of your local market.

If you are in a larger urban area, or even a suburban area, look for the local "Brown Bag" programs. Here in California, call 1-800-510-2020 to find a near by distribution center. Similar programs are run in other states.

If you are unfamiliar with "Brown Bag" programs, these programs distribute food stuffs to those 60 and over free of charge. There is often no means testing, and frequently from what I have heard, many of the foodstuffs go unwanted. The food is often donated by local markets as they get close to code date (not yet expired) or are surplus.

Even if you are well off and do not need to take advantage of such programs, I'm sure you know of some who could use the extra help, and it is a good way to stock extra supplies for the future. This program is often the end of the line for the items being distributed, and they are either discarded or returned to the vendor for disposal if unclaimed.

One thing to keep in mind is the age of these tomes. Language has changed a great deal in 150 years.

Please take the time to read through them before something goes wrong while you still have the internet available to define such terms as "treacle". I understand that many on here will already know what treacle is, but here in California, I've never heard anyone utter that word except for my late father.

Also, I understand that some of the language may prove to be offensive to some. Describing native peoples as "painted savages" is unacceptable today, but again, please take into account the age of the books when you read them.

A few people have expressed having difficulty with being able to open PDF files within their browsers. If you have this problem, simply right click on the link and click "save as". It will download the file to where ever you tell it to go.

Some of you involved in the agricultural business may object to some of the information in the books. I understand, but please also understand the information worked for the people of that time. And a time may come again when we won't have the luxury of modern systems and we may have to revert back to less than perfect modern systems.

Personally, I'm very concerned with some very senior people in our government taking extended trips outside the borders of our nation given that we just experienced an election with some serious overtones. Altering Your Reality: Deleting Objects In Real Time From Streaming Video

What does this mean?

So-called "live news footage" can and will be altered to support the position of The Powers That Be.

With no video evidence, or video that lacks critical components, who will you believe?

Hidden Fuel Reserves

They're out there.

Can you spot them?

Most people think of gas stations as places to get fuel. The more creative will recognize other vehicles as a possible source. Most of these will be found along the beaten path. The major roadways, and population centers.

But let us say you're traveling the back roads to avoid the milling and violent crowds attempting to flee whatever has befallen society.

Here's a couple of photos to get you started thinking.


Some of you are wondering exactly WTF is this? Well, it is a remote cell site for one of the large cell phone companies out there. This one is located in the California Delta region. There are many of these sites scattered throughout the Delta.


See that?

210 glorious gallons of diesel thoughtfully suspended about 24 feet in the air to make siphoning easy indeed. All that is standing between you and it is a chain link fence and a padlocked gate.

If you're wondering what a huge generator and all that fuel is doing 24 feet in the air, this area has seen serious flooding before.

As cell phone service has spread across the globe, even in some really remote regions, a reliable method had to be developed to power the remote sites since local power can't always be relied upon. That usually means a backup generator and a store of fuel.

My understanding is that these sites are equipped with a bank of backup batteries that will service the site for a period of time before the generator kicks on. I've never been able to find out exactly how long the batteries will last before the generator starts, although if I understood the guy I was talking to, the generator will recharge the batteries and then shut off again.

As one can see from these maps, coverage of cell networks reaches into nearly every part of the continental United States. Now, cell providers often have agreements between themselves that allow customers of rival networks to access their network towers for a fee or reciprocal privileges.

TracFone rents bandwidth from most cell providers, hence you can see their coverage is fairly extensive. Yet, Sprint offers coverage in areas that even TracFone can't service.

You'll notice both providers have a huge hole in the coverage of the state of Nevada. There's a reason for that. That area is known as The Nevada Test And Training Range, part of which is the infamous Area 51. Hopefully you won't be bugging out across the worst part of The Great Basin Desert.

In remote areas where the landscape is relatively flat (think Kansas), cell sites are usually no more than 23 miles apart to maintain adequate overlapping coverage, and can be as close as 3 miles depending on terrain. They are usually located off of established roadways or fire trails that are accessible even during the winter. The entrances may be gated or disguised to discourage casual trespassers.

Inside cities, they can be as close as less than a quarter mile due to the signal attenuation caused by the structures in the area. But we're not worried about that, because you ain't there. I hope.

As you are out and about planning your escape, hunting, backpacking, or whatever outdoor activity you enjoy, you might want to look along your way for cell sites and make note of their locations.

Cell site planners have become more crafty in attempting to make their towers blend into the surroundings, and disguise them to appear like local trees. So, keep your eyes open.

We Are The Enemy

I guess Obama has once again admitted he's an illegal alien, although in a offhanded manner.

Last week, Obama urged Latino voters ( and I think it is fair we translate this into "illegal alien" voters) to "punish our enemies".

'If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, "We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us".' - President Obama, Univision interview, Oct 2010

Why I think it is fair that we translate this to a direct message to the hordes of criminals within our borders is Obama's unwavering efforts to drive the final nails into America's coffin. In that one sentence, Obama has once again promised to "reward" those who aid and abet his criminal activities, and threaten those who have withdrawn their support or never supported him in the first place.

"Issues that are important to us." Us, not all of the American people, but a very small subset of the public. Once again, seeking to factionalize the people of this country. Us, somehow he manages to speak to each of those factions and makes them believe that he is addressing them and their interests.

The support of these factions continue to undermine America's foundations.

All one needs to do is look around at the policies that Obama's "Hope and Change" have brought to law enforcement.
